Professional Officer (OF1/SO6) for the 104th Base Security Company, 1st Naval Base Battalion

To ensure that the Navy sustainably continues to secure Sweden's waters and coasts through constant monitoring and readiness, a robust naval logistics function is required. This function is partly represented by the 1st Naval Base Battalion, which is one of the Navy's standing combat units.

Its mission is to provide logistical support to naval units from land and at sea, both within the framework of regular operations and missions.

The Naval Base is seeking a Professional Officer (OF1/SO6) for the 104th Base Security Company, 1st Naval Base Battalion.

The Base Security Company belonging to the 1st Naval Base Battalion provides higher command with situational awareness regarding security threats within the battalion's area of operations. The company is sized to indicate and intervene against a qualified opponent on land and in the archipelago.

About the Position

As a professional officer, you will serve in one of the company's platoons, either the security or reconnaissance platoon. There, you will act as a combat command officer and support the platoon leader with leadership and coordination within the platoon during both exercises and missions. In your daily work, you will plan and conduct training and development of the platoon within the framework of the company's main tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed and approved officer's exam/specialist officer's exam
• Approved according to Fmfyss. Field test 10:15, 10km 48min, Multitest: 300p. swimming 400m and lifesaving.
• Driver's license B
• Color vision
• No dog allergy or fear of dogs
• Approved on selection tests after completed selection day.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are responsible, meticulous, and have good initiative. You have good collaboration skills and can work both independently and in various group constellations. This over long periods and under external stress. You are an unpretentious person who can adapt to emerging situations and can easily switch between different tasks. You have a structured working method and the ability to change pace when required.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and suitability.

• Salary: Individual salary setting
• Start date: Monday week 633 or by agreement.

After a first selection, candidates will be called for interviews and selection tests. During the selection day, tests will be conducted in the form of running 10km and muscle strength (step-ups 25kg, pull-ups, deadlifts, dips).
